Why do the two diagonals always meet at a right angle in a rhombus? It's a defining property of a rhombus that its diagonals bisect each other perpendicularly, which is also why the side length can be derived directly from the diagonals using the Pythagorean theorem (half of each diagonal forms a right triangle with the side).

How is this different from a general parallelogram calculator? A rhombus has all four sides equal, so it only needs the two diagonals as inputs; a general parallelogram needs a base, a different side length, and a height because its sides aren't equal.
