How to Create a QR Code
- Select the QR type from the dropdown (URL, Contact, Wi-Fi, etc.)
- Fill in the required fields — URL, name, network SSID, or event details
- Choose an error correction level (M for general use, Q or H if adding a logo)
- Customize colors — pick foreground and background from the palette
- Upload a logo if needed — it appears centered in the code
- Preview the live result, then click Download as SVG or PNG
Error Correction Levels Explained
QR codes include built-in redundancy so they remain scannable even if partially damaged or obscured by a logo.
- L (Low, 7%) — smallest code, ideal for clean digital displays
- M (Medium, 15%) — recommended for most uses
- Q (Quartile, 25%) — use when adding a small logo overlay
- H (High, 30%) — maximum durability, required for larger logos or printed materials that may wear
Export Formats
SVG — vector format, infinitely scalable. Best for business cards, posters, banners, and any print material.
PNG — raster format at your chosen resolution. Best for websites, social media, email signatures, and documents. Use at least 512×512px for reliable scanning at small print sizes.
Best Practices
- Maintain high contrast between foreground and background — dark on light is most reliable
- Test your QR code on at least two different devices before printing
- Use SVG for any printed material — PNG can pixelate when resized
- For Wi-Fi QR codes, share only within your trusted environment
- Set a minimum print size of 2 cm × 2 cm for reliable smartphone scanning
Privacy
All QR code generation happens inside your browser. No URLs, contact details, Wi-Fi passwords, or uploaded logos are sent to any server. Downloads go directly to your device.
